Practise the Cognizant GenC interview out loud

Practise explaining your own projects and answering follow-up questions before your Cognizant GenC interview. Add your CV and the actual job description, then speak your answers out loud and review the feedback.

Check your actual interview invitation

Cognizant describes GenC hiring as application, screening, role-dependent assessments, interviews and results. The employer explicitly says the process can vary by role. Its current GenC page also states there are no service bonds. Cognizant GenC program.

Use the invitation for timing, language, location, permitted tools and documents. This practice page does not guarantee a round count, salary, pass mark or selection result.

Explain your project beyond its summary

Say what problem you worked on, what you personally built, why you chose that approach and what you would change. Be ready to support any numbers on your CV.

Practise a follow-up without starting again

If asked for more detail, add a decision, example or test result. Repeating the opening answer does not fill the gap. Use the feedback report to choose one weak answer for your next practice session.

A 20-minute practice plan for GenC

Use your free demo to find one or two answers that need work. This is a suggested practice plan, not an estimate of the employer’s interview duration.

  1. Upload the CV that carries your final-year project. If the project is thin on the page, the interview will be thin too.
  2. Add the job description if you have the GenC posting. The questions narrow to the role.
  3. When you are asked about the project, go past the summary before you stop. Say the decision you made and why the alternative was worse.
  4. Have one real failure ready. Not a disaster, just something that did not work the first time and what you did about it.
  5. Read the answer scores and suggested improvements. Choose one weak answer to practise again; the AI score is practice feedback, not a prediction of a hiring track.

Does this reproduce the Cognizant GenC interview?

No. Prep Sarthi creates practice questions from your CV and target role. It is independent of Cognizant GenC; questions, round structure and hiring decisions come from the employer.

What should I upload?

Use the CV you plan to submit and the actual job description, if available. Check that your project details and dates are accurate before starting.

What should I do with the feedback?

Review the weak answers, check suggested facts against your own experience and practise those answers again. AI feedback can be wrong and is not an employer score.
