Role and pay: check the actual vacancy

Associate Software Engineer and other entry-level titles can have different requirements. Use your current posting and offer for compensation; we have not verified a salary table that applies to every Accenture fresher drive.

How to practise pseudocode

Trace short snippets using a table of variable values. Work through loops, conditions and recursion one step at a time, then explain your answer. Use this practice when it matches the assessment syllabus; no question count guarantees readiness.

How to practise a spoken assessment

If your invitation includes a spoken task, test the required microphone and connection, then practise giving a complete answer at a steady pace. Listen to a recording to catch rushed words or unfinished sentences. Follow the provider’s instructions; this guide does not establish its scoring method.

Interview questions to practise

• Your project, then the “so what”. Practise the business angle: “who would use this, and what does it save them?” Prepare one sentence connecting your project to a user. Explain the user problem in plain language.
• Fundamentals from the assessment syllabus: what is cloud computing in one sentence, SQL joins, OOP pillars with your own example, what an API is. Explain clearly and be ready for a follow-up.
• “Which Accenture service line interests you?” One minute on their site the night before answers this: name one: “Technology, specifically application development, though I'm open to where my skills fit best.” Flexibility first, preference second.
• Scenario checks: “Client ka deadline kal hai aur code ready nahi hai. Kya karoge?” Structure: inform early → propose options → no heroic lying. “Sabse pehle main team lead ko aaj hi bataunga, kal nahi. Surprise deadlines se zyada surprise silence hurt karta hai. Phir jo ready hai woh deliver karne ka option dunga.”
• The HR minutes: relocation (Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, Gurugram, Kolkata and more), shifts for some roles, gaps and backlogs. The full scripts are in the Accenture/Cognizant/Capgemini HR round guide. As everywhere: your spoken answers must match your application form.

Mistakes to avoid during practice

• Skipping communication practice when your invitation includes a spoken task.
• Careless pseudocode traces: rushing costs more marks than not knowing.
• A resume claim that dies on the first follow-up question.
• Contradicting the application form on relocation or backlogs.
• Panic silence. Ask for ten seconds, structure, answer, the pause is trainable.
